My Story
Welcome to Little Lilacs Play Therapy!
My name is Charlotte and I'm a fully qualified Play Therapist. I have worked with children and in schools for many years, and I have had the privilege of supporting them therapeutically since 2019. This is when I first began my training with PTUK and APAC to become a Play Therapist. Since gaining this qualification I have supported many different children and their families up and down the North West.
My drive and passion for helping children has been present since leaving school all those years ago. I went from college to university doing placements in schools and learning about Child psychology. After gaining my degree, the next step was trying to find a way in which I could further help and support children with any challenges they were facing. This is when my journey to becoming a Play Therapist started, and now I am so lucky that I get to work with and support children and their families.

My Approach
I have a passion for helping children navigate their emotions and experiences through the power of play. My aim to to provide a supportive, safe and nurturing environment which allows connection between myself, the child and their family. A strong connection can help facilitate growth and healing, whilst developing relationships and supporting emotional well-being.
All children have the right to feel safe, to be happy and be themselves! Play Therapy provides them with the safe space they need in order to process any difficult experiences, build their confidence and develop new skills.
I work using a non-directive, non-judgemental holistic approach, where the child leads the sessions. This provides them with the space and control to feel safe and allows them to explore their inner feelings and past experiences. My role is to be present, hold the child's space and support their process.
I am a fully qualified Play Therapist, located in the North West, I cover areas such as Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. I am regulated by the Professional Standards Authority and I can be found on the Play Therapy UK register below.
